WASM Graduates' Association

This site was established to enable the Committee of the WASM Graduates' Association to keep in touch with graduates and to make it easy for graduates to keep in touch with us and by doing so, grow our membership base.

To become a member of the WASM Graduates’ Association, you must be a graduate of either a WASM undergraduate or postgraduate program and have paid your annual membership fee. Associate members of the WASM Graduates’ Association were introduced in 2004. These are non-graduates of WASM who have made a significant contribution to the School.

Vision: To ensure the sustainability of the WA School of Mines

The WASM Graduates' Association aims to:

  • maintain and advance the common interest of members of the Association.
  • maintain and advance the reputation and well-being of the WA School of Mines.
  • provide opportunities for contact between graduates of the School and to assist them to maintain contact with the School itself.

Why Should I Become a Member?

Membership in the WASM Graduates' Association allows WASM to maintain a relationship with our past students. It also provides the School (through the Graduates' Association Committee) with an alternative source of funding for worthwhile projects that would not otherwise be able to occur.

Become a member of the WASM Graduates Association by completing the Membership Application Form and either faxing or posting your application to WASM.

Graduates receive free annual membership to the WASM Graduates' Association for the year following their graduation. If you completed your course in 2007, please complete the 2007 Graduates Association Application Form to register your free membership for the 2008-2009 financial year.

Graduates' Association Membership Forms can be faxed to 08 9088 6100 or emailed to wasmadmin@curtin.edu.au

The WASM Graduates Association plans to hold a range of events throughout the year for its members. The Graduates Association also maintains positive relations with WASM and will endeavour to work with the Western Australian School of Mines on projects for the betterment of the School and its students. This year the WASM Graduates Association is aiming to landscape the WASM Memorial area on the corner of Egan St and Cassidy St. Previous funds raised by the Graduates Association resulted in the establishment of the Memorial. Members will be notified via email and through this website of any events and projects that will be coming up.
