The Western Australian School of Mines has been locally and internationally recognised as a provider of excellence in minerals education, research and industry service since 1902. WASM is one of only three national university schools that are endorsed by the Minerals Council of Australia as a preferred national provider of mining engineering education through Mining Education Australia. The Western Australian School of Mines is a school within Curtin University's Faculty of Science and Engineering.
